Entered into service on 06-11-2003 in Govt Law College, Thrissur and continued there till May 2007.Joined this institution in May 2007 and continued till june 2013. On being selected as Research Fellow under FIP Scheme of UGC, joined as Full Time Research scholar in School of Legal Studies CUSAT on June 2013 and continued till June 2016.Rejoined as Asst professor in July 2016. . Has 16 years teaching experience (13 years regular service and 3 years prior service).

EDUCATIONAL PROFILE

Completed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Teresas College, Ernakulam in 1992.Completed LL.B from Govt Law College, Ernakulam in 1995 and LLM with specialisation in Criminal law and Constitutional Law from Cochin University of science and technology in 1997.Qualified NET for Lectureship in 1997. Is a part time Research scholar in School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology under the guide ship of Dr V.S Sebastian former Dean and Director of School of Legal Studies, CUSAT.

PRIOR PROFESSIONAL AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Enrolled as an advocate on the roll of Bar Council of Kerala in 1996.Practiced as an Advocate in the High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal, Debt recovery tribunal and other trial Courts in Kerala. Selected as Research Scholar by Indian Law Institute, High Court of Kerala Wing, Ernakulam for the period 1999-2001 and was in the panel of Amicus Curie ( High Court of Kerala).She was Asst Editor in CULR, peer Reviewed journal of CUSAT in 1996-1997. Worked as Guest Lecturer since 1998 in School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi &Aquinas College, Edakochi, Kerala. Appointed as Substitute lecturer twice from October 1999-july 2001 and January 2003-may 2003 in Govt. Law College, Ernakulam.

EXPERIENCE PROFILE

Has specialised in Criminal Law and Constitutional Law. Has been in teaching field since December 1998. Has taught diverse subjects for LL.B which include Constitutional law, Criminal Law, law of contracts, Law of tort, Criminal Procedure Code, Criminology, Property law, International law, Environmental law, Law of Taxation, Jurisprudence and Interpretation of Statutes. Has also handled LL.M classes and handled diverse papers like Legal process, Judicial process, General principles of Criminal Law &Socio Economic Offences. Has also guided projects and Dissertations of several LL.M students.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

a. Participation in Refresher Courses, Short Term Courses, orientation Programs and workshops:. She has participated in Various Refresher courses, Short Term Courses and Orientation course in Academic Staff College, Kerala University,Calicut University, Kannur University and Indian Society of International Law. She was a special invitee delegate for the Outreach training program on Disability and Human Rights from 10 to 12 th February 2005 at School of Legal Studies CUSAT and she has also attended. The Regional Teacher Training Program on International Humanitarian Law from 21 to 23rd August 2006 Organized by ICRC and TNDALU, Chennai and Training Program on Law Teaching and Legal Research Skills from 10 to 12th December 2007 at TNDALU Chennai. She has also attended various National workshops conducted in other institutions and acted as expert panel in some of them. She was a special invitee in the workshop conducted on BEOS test by Gujarat Forensic Science University held in January 2016.She has attended three day professional development training workshop on Forensic science, scientific evidence and Administration of Justice conducted by NLSIU & Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy training, & Govt Law College, Thiruvananthapuram at 25-27 June 2015 obtained Certificate of Recognition. b. Paper presentations in National and International Conferences: Has presented more than a dozen papers in varied topics in various universities and including one on Forensic Psychology Tests in International conference held at GLC, Thiruvanathapuram on 21-23 March 2016 and one on Human trafficking in the International Conference organized by Kerala University in January 2015 c. She has acted as a Resource Person for Law Subjects in coast Guard Training at Kochi since 2008 to 2012. d. She has acted as chairman, Chief Examiner and Additional examiner in Mahatma Gandhi University, and acted as Additional Examiner and question paper setter in Cochin University, Calicut University and Kerala University. She has acted as member, Pass Board in M.G. University and Cochin University.She has also acted as member in editorial Board, in peer reviewed journal of Govt Law College, Ernakulam.

EVENTS CONDUCTED

Was the teacher in charge of ADR club and along with Sri Mayin Aboobeker and Smt Liny Jose, acted as Coordinator ADR competitions in the college for the first time in 2012 and 10 teams participated. She also acted as joint Convener in Various National Moot Court competitions , National Seminars and National Workshops conducted in Govt Law college Ernakulam. She also acted as teacher in charge of Legal Aid Cell and ADR clinic and has organised Neethi Mela “ Samanvayam” and mediation program in Govt Law college Ernakulam in 2013.She has led the delegates of Govt Law College Ernakulam and has attended Pravasi Adalat conducted by KELSA& NORKA held at High Court Auditorium in September 2012.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

She has acted as teacher in charge film club, debate club and arts club. The film club was constituted as a separate club under her aegis in 2013. Encourages students to participate in various competitions representing the college at state and national level. She acted as member students grievance cell and women Cell since 2007 and has attended program organized by IMG, Kochi in 2012 for heads of women Cell. She was executive member PTA and Library Committee in the college since 2007.

MEMBERSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL BODY OF TEACHERS

Life member in All India Law Teachers Congress which is well known in making its contribution in the field of Legal education.
